Step aboard Anjodi, the founding member of the our fleet and a true classic of Dutch barge design. She has been gliding along the storied Canal du Midi for more than 45 years, and she wears every one of them beautifully.

Below deck, glowing African hardwoods and gleaming brass lend the feel of a classic yacht, warm, intimate and impossibly inviting. The saloon is the heart of the ship: rich wooden floors underfoot, elegant French dining furniture, plush banquette seating to sink into, and a fully stocked bar ready for the evening’s first toast.

Retire at night to one of four staterooms, each wrapped in hardwood panelling and lit by brass portholes. Choose twin beds or a double, with a private en suite in every cabin.

Then climb to the sundeck, where an adjustable canopy offers shade, sun loungers beckon, and a spa pool invites you to sink in with a glass of chilled white wine as the French countryside drifts by.

Anjodi is a very well-known hotel barge, having achieved ‘film star’ status some years ago! She was the star of “Rick Stein’s French Odyssey” carrying the celebrated chef and restaurateur on a mouthwatering journey through the south of France. Now it’s your turn to follow in his wake, cruising the 345-year-old Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure, with Anjodi as your floating home. On this magnificent itinerary, you will discover the extraordinary walled city of Carcassonne, the perched Cathar village of Minerve, and Roman Narbonne; as well as highlights such as the 7 flight “staircase” of locks at Fonserannes and an aqueduct crossing over the River Orb. Mediterranean cuisine including fresh seafood and Languedoc wines are a superb addition to this quintessential barging experience!
